Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms describe the use of GoBack and GoBack PRO, developed by BinaryBears LLC. Applicable store terms and mandatory consumer rights also apply.
GoBack is an orientation aid, not a safety guarantee. It is not an emergency service, rescue beacon, map, road-routing service or substitute for appropriate equipment and navigation judgment.
1. Navigation and outdoor safety
GPS, compass readings and reported accuracy can be affected by obstructions, interference, calibration, device settings and hardware. Battery depletion, missing permissions, process termination or system behavior can interrupt guidance. Distances and arrows are indicative and may be inaccurate.
A straight-line arrow may point across water, private property, steep terrain or other obstacles. Recorded-route return does not establish that a route remains safe. Check the terrain, conditions and legal access for yourself. Carry suitable backup navigation and do not interact with the watch when doing so would be unsafe.
2. Editions and compatibility
GoBack requires a compatible Wear OS 4+ watch. Device capabilities and settings affect operation. Free provides direct return to the active Start with the Trail compass. PRO adds manual checkpoints, five compass styles, current-session recorded-route return and an archive with direct guidance to saved points.
Archive does not replay completed trails. The apps have separate private storage and no automatic migration, account or cloud synchronization. Ending a Free session makes its Start unavailable for navigation even if private records remain stored.
3. Store purchases
PRO is planned as a separate app purchased once through Google Play, without an in-app subscription. Availability, price, payment, installation and any refund request are handled through Google Play's applicable terms and your statutory rights. This website does not process purchases. “Coming soon” is not an offer of an already available product or a promised release date.
4. Data and continuity
You control the watch and local app data. Deleting an excursion, clearing app storage or uninstalling an edition can permanently remove data. We do not hold a cloud copy of your routes and cannot promise recovery after device loss, data removal or failure. Read the Privacy Policy and deletion guide.
5. Permitted use and intellectual property
Use the apps lawfully and without attempting to compromise devices or misuse the software. App code, branding and original visual assets remain the property of their respective owners. Third-party components retain their own licences. Nothing here restricts rights that applicable law grants you.
6. Availability and responsibility
We aim to improve the apps, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy or suitability for every activity or watch. Features may change with updates. To the extent allowed by applicable law, use is at your own risk. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
7. Contact and updates
